Absolutely nothing in the world compares to those first seconds when you and your newborn child lock eyes. I’ll be there to capture the details, the expressions and the unforgettable moments before, during and after you give birth.
I tend to take a more “documentary” or “photojournalistic” approach in my birthing sessions. My style is very candid and raw. There will be very little, if any, posing. Just images of raw emotion and real moments as they happen.
I know what you’re thinking, your water can break at any moment, so how do we make sure I’m there to capture it all? Well, during our in-person consultation, when we first meet, we will discuss your plan in great detail. Basically, I’ll be on call for two weeks before until you give birth. You’ll receive unlimited coverage of your labor — no matter how long or short — and at least one hour of post-delivery coverage.
As a mother, it is my passion in life is to provide lasting memories. As a photographer, I want to capture the first time you meet the love of your life. These are moments rarely caught and sometimes forgotten, in the emotion and excitement. These will be images you can keep, to remember the feeling you felt the moment you got to see love, in human form.
Having a birth photographer takes all the pressure off your loved ones so they can fully support you during your labor. This allows them to enjoy the experience with you without having to make sure to get the shots that you want.
Call me and we can sit and discuss your Birth Plan and how I can document this wonderful and exciting celebration.
I will be forever grateful for you, Denette, for capturing such a treasured moment in our lives. My baby is 1 today. And so crazy how much they change in a year! – Katie
